I am using LED Steam deck and it is very dark and hard to see if I am away from any light source in the game. I don’t think this is by design, as I have seen videos of gameplay from this section of the game and it is not this dark.
Adjusting the brightness, even to full 200 does not help.
That is because it is how it is. There are some areas where you need a torch or a spell for the light.
Yeah but when I look at other people’s videos of the same part of the game it is not so dark and you can actually see what you are doing.
In this current state the game is almost unplayable since I cant see what I am doing.
The very first rune you get after getting to town and doing Eleanor’s quest, is Illuminate. It’s for dark cavernous areas like this, costs some focus and lasts 2-3 minutes I believe. You can also buy it from her at any time if you somehow misplaced or didn’t get it.
You can also use a Torch if you don’t need the offhand slot occupied by something else. It’s not as much light as Illuminate, but still pretty decent.
The third option, is the least light, but still will do for navigation. If you have a weapon infused with Fire, Lightning, or Cold, it can light up a small area around you. Plague infusion also has a glow of course, but due to the color, it doesn’t brighten the area as visibly.
This is indeed by design. You are in Brine Vault and no one shall venture there without a torch, illuminate rune or death wish.
Torch, illuminate spell, or any big weapon with fire/cold infusion give light. I have bow on cold, and i just shoot arrows auto attack to illuminate
