The UI in concept for Runes is great but there’s a couple things in execution that aren’t great.
#1) As you gain focus before you have enough I notice that the rune has a bar like a cup that gradually fills it up. Trouble is the color of the partially filled rune as it nears the top of the symbol(since the symbol is pointed) makes it REALLY hard to tell when it’s ready. Like when I have 137/150 focus it’s impossible to tell if I have enough
#2) Since this is an ARPG I think it kinda makes sense to allow it to be more centered on the screen rather than all the way to the bottom-left corner. For me particularly this is egregious since I’m on an Ultrawide.
this is true, i agree. might be another thing on a long list of accessibility features. we should really get a summary post together.
once i started one i will link your suggestion too. because i think it has largely to do with contrast and/or even with color choices. could be helped with by having a colorblind mode.
i think sea of thieves had a great colorblind setting, that even distinguished between red/green blindness, colorblindness and a simple more contrast mode for everyone. … was it sea of thieves… can’t remember…
edit: and to suggest a solution: i am not sure which game that was, but i remember a game having the mana bar (in their case) being surrounded by a white pulsating border, once enough mana for the equipped spell is reached. could do the same with focus and runes tbh.
