Hi, im uploading on behalf of my wife. This is the 2nd time playing co-op whereby her game crashes in the nameless pass, and she is unable to reconnect to the realm I have created. I have run through various fixes and still nothing works at all. I am able to join the realm on my side with no issues, but she keeps getting “attempting to reconnect, lost connection”
-we have set her as admin of realm, same issue
-updated windows (shes on win 11 im on ubuntu), same issue
-attempted to rename the datastore folder and get her to re-join, same issue
-changed regions/time/dates within game and PC, same issue
-deleted all character saves and started new character, same issue
-started new realm with new character on her side, same issue
-gone through in steam and verified file integrity, same issue
this happened once in the experimental release, and we couldnt continue playing at all, and its happened again now. Can this be looked into when possible please as she doesnt wish to play the game at all anymore (which sucks because we both love it and have been playing since day 1 of early access)
Please find all logs asked for with screenshots here:
Let her opt into the old crucible_legacy beta and back, to do so:
Right click the game in your Steam library - Properties - Game Versions % Betas - select crucible_legacy. Let it patch, afterwards change it to Default Public Version once more.
Thanks for your patience and for getting back to me. Have attempted both fixes tonight and same issue with the same error.
She has no personal realms, im not sure whats gone on (she might of deleted these herself) but theres literally nothing but our shared realm. Would this be due to deleting her previous characters?
Anything else? It looks to be more of a corrupted file on a server issue, but im no expert.
Hi, me and my partner have a very similar issue.
I’ve played the game for the first time through his shared Steam library, where I’ve created my char and my realm.
I enjoyed the game so we bought a copy for myself to play together.
We created a new realm and I logged in with my old char, and he logged in with a brand new char. We played smoothly for the entire evening.
The next day he started to cannot connect anymore to our realm if I was logged-in. If he logged-in first, he got kicked once I attempted to log-in. We thought it was because the server messed up with the shared library thing so we set up the game as private, but the issues persisted. We decided to create new chars and a new realm and we were able to play for hours.
On the next day, same problem as the day before Plus a new issue: he cannot enter the realm with his char even when i’m not online. He can login with a brand new char only. Same even if he creates a brand new realm: he can login only with a new char (and get kicked if i try to login with my char). So we are stuck to play with brand new chars/realm each time after we logout, lol…
We do not share the same network (he is in another city atm), and I never encountered any connection error/screen on my part.
So far we tried (without success):
Removed family sharing;
Verified file integrity;
Reinstalled the game;
Installed legacy version, then default version;
Set up firewall exceptions for Steam and for the .exe of the game;
Excluded the entire Steam folder from Windows’s anti-virus;
Tried with VPN (Proton);
Changed realm’s region;
Changed realm’s ownership/roles;
Kicked him from realm and re-invited him;
Set up realm as offline (after kicking him) then as online again;
Turned off Steam cloud;
Deleted local save data;
Flushed DNS cache / resetted network settings / restarted router.
Thanks for attempting and also passing it on. Any chance we’re able to known when moon might get in contact (if they do?) - we since deleted game files in x86 > steam > moon studios> nrftw - rebooted steam, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, same issue.
I even moved back onto windows just incase that was the issue, but the realm i had created on windows previously, she still gets the same error on that also (she was never part of this realm it was local until i shared it with her yday) - genuinely it seems like a correct file on moons server.
