I agree! After 603 hours of gameplay, I’m currently more concerned with the bug fixes than the patch itself. The fixes should come first to keep players engaged.
The type of error that occurred takes us out of the game in a way; what we have as endgame content at this point makes it impossible to use “PESTILENCE mode,” making the process tedious, slow, and bureaucratic. All the other content was done quickly, leaving us with no other option.
I perfectly understand the pursuit of perfection in product delivery, but it’s really hard to accept the delay without protesting (laughs). I’m still having fun with the game even with all these bugs, playing at half my character’s potential. I just ask that you be mindful of the time we wait for answers and bug fixes.
When I look at other games, I don’t feel like playing them. I affirm that NO REST FOR THE WICKED is truly a very different game from the others, and currently, it’s the only one I want to play.
We can even say that, due to its relatively small but complex and richly detailed gameplay, the people who are writing and reporting the errors they found loved the game and are expressing their pure desire to see it move forward and continue growing!

I have the same problems…. Looting Pestilence boss - > Stuck …. for complete looting need 3 times relog.
All utility runes ( 2 of 4 slots used, also 4 of 4 slots) gone + all hunger slots….
It happend for the 4th or 5th time to my charakter, not loosing loot only the utility runes are gone and locked.
This also happend (locked rune slot + hunger slot) without any equiped utiltiy runes.

My female character periodically changes gender. Rune slots 3 and 4 are blocked on my fist. My satiety limit drops by 3 points.

I had a feeling it had something to do with the amount of plague ichor a character had.

Same here.
My character froze after defeating a boss and picking up loot. I went back to the menu, joined a realm, and saw that his face had changed and all runes were blocked.
I went to the house to get the runes and inserted them again.
After that, I jumped to the next boss, and the same situation happened again. But this time, I don’t have any spare runes anymore, so it’s less fun without blink and teleport

Good evening. I think I’ve found at least a temporary solution. Yesterday, after the bug reoccurred three times, I transferred half of my ichor (I have about 560 bottles in total) to another server. My character hasn’t had any issues since. If this helps anyone, please let me know.

I’ll start by saying that the problem I’m about to expose to you started appearing a few days ago after more than 200 hours of play.Unfortunately I don’t have any videos, but the first time it happened to me after killing the plague boss and quickly collecting the loot.At that point the character froze, I could still move the menus but the character remained stuck and the utility runes were gone.At that point I leave the world, return and find myself still without runes, even going to the dovecote I discover that two of the rune slots have returned locked together with half of the food slots that I had to unlock again with the icore and then go and buy back the missing runes and then insert them into the slots once again.I flooded all the files and a couple of pictures of the dovecote where you can see the locked slots. I would add that since then it has happened randomly other times, always by the pestilent boss, but also on other occasions where, however, I have not found or noticed any correlations with what I was doing.

I’m adding the link to a video where I still got the bug, also with the plague boss.
I started the recovery from character block. I am layer forced out of the world and once I re-entered the slots for runes and food were blocked again and without utility runes.

I now notice that I am in good company regarding this bug. I hadn’t previously found this post already open, at this point we are waiting for patch 1 which will fix this problem, thank you very much.

This has happened to me twice in the past 3 days. Both times I was clearing pestilence level 4 in the Black Trench. Both times the boss that spawned was Bloodbound Torment. Both times the game freezes after beating the boss. After closing the game and reloading my character is gender swapped and my utility runes are locked. Quitting and relaoding returns the character to its original gender and returns two utility slots and also resets hunger limit. The biggest difference between both instances is that on the first time I had return, illuminate, channel, and blink as my utility runes and the second time I had illuminate, poise defense, and blink as my utility runes.

For some reason my character lost all utility runes. Furthermore 2 rune slots got locked again and the meal in combat count was coompetaly reset so i had to re-ichor them again.
Even worse now. After every pestilence run my runes get deleted, all slots are locked and hunger limit is reset.

Patch 1 is coming up, I urge you to park your character temporarily so you don’t go though those losses anymore!

If you want to continue playing I recommend you make a new character using the pg items with problems, this way it didn’t give me any more redness.
Once the patch came out he then recovered the other problematic character as well. Good game!!

I may have fixed this for my game, sort of. More of a workaround really, but for solo play it has been great so far. Fingers crossed that it sticks, but I was getting this lock up ~95% of the time on pestilence bosses and now I’m not, at all. My appearance even returned to normal, and no runes were lost.
It’s kind of a terrible workaround imo, but it seems to be working, so I’m hopeful it will work for others who are up to giving it a try. I have not yet tried restarting my game to see if the locks start again and if I have to wait this out every time I run the game. I’m hoping not.
What I did was……. wait. Yeah, not awesome I know. But eventually the lock animation just cleared, I got my loot, my appearance returned to normal, my utility runes were still there, and I’ve been farming pestilence bosses for hours with no additional locks.
How long did I have to wait? I’m not really sure. I kind of stumbled into this on accident. I got on during my lunch break and got locked up on a boss, as I have been. I wondered if the lock could eventually clear on its own, so I just left the game running and went back to work and forgot about it until dinner. So it was sitting for 6 hours or so? Maybe it resolved after a few minutes? Maybe an hour or two? I have no idea.
Anywho, hopefully this sticks for me and also works for others. And hopefully the required wait isn’t too much for anyone else. Best of luck!
