When fight the first crucible boss, cyvion or something, The plague projectiles and the fires he spawns won’t load/render when the player and character are too far to the south of the arena where the faded wall is being seen through.
I suspect the faded wall or low position of the camera is preventing these FX attacks to be rendered properly .
There seems to be a bug when fighting the final Crucible boss Cyvion where his blue AoE attacks fades and/or turns invisible, but still deals damage. I’ve died three times in a row to the AoE because I can’t see it. I think it only happens after he has casted it twice.
When fighting the boss, at certain camera angle / random moments, there is no visual trajection of the purple orb i.e it is invisible. The boss still does the animation of the swing but the player does not know if it is a melee or the boss is firing the purple orb. Multiple times I have been hit and staggered from this visual bug thinking it was a melee and subsequently died.
I want to add that this happens to a LOT of other boss fights, not just Cyvion, like Bloodbound Torment’s purple floor goo.
It is extremely frustrating because a lot of these FX linger for a very long time after they spawn. Given the limited space you have to move, I’ve died too many f*cking times to FX that I simply cannot see.
Issue: persistent enemy AOE attacks (silver flames, purple mist, green goo etc.) last forever - especially once they are off screen.
Location: most notable in the Crucible
Reproducible: Yes, any AOE attack stays around forever - more than 60 seconds - and it feels like the timer resets once it is off screen and starts from the top when you can see it again.
I mean, I hope this is a bug. If it isn’t, it’s a questionable design choice in my opinion.
And the cherry on top : silver flames becomes invisible, but stay active, if you hop in whispers and come back fast enough. Meaning ground is invisible lava, heh.
