Because the NPC labels/names are being rendered with the game’s engine, they get really blurry and illegible as the resolution lowers.
So when you use a lower resolution scale, or run the game at a lower resolution to gain better performance, the NPC name text is unreadable or near most of the time.
So please, for the sake of legibility use the same render method as is done for the subtitles/captions or the game’s UI, which remains sharp even when you lower the render scale/resolution.
