Photo Mode / Greater Zoom / Dynamic HUD

I’d love to have an option to toggle the HUD so I can take screenshots that I can use as backgrounds on my (work) PC! A photo mode would be even better, but I guess that would take longer to implement.

The game is too gorgeous for the HUD elements to be in a screenshot! Also for more immersive gameplay, please introduce a dynamic HUD, similar to Zelda BOTW and TOTK master mode, where HUD elements appear only when the corresponding input is pressed or when health, stamina etc are affected. Also maybe have a photo mode in v1.0?!

Yup, we’ll add those options :+1:

good stuff, cant wait

Currently the 100% zoom option is too little. I want to examine the character and the world from very close. It’d be good to have either a much greater zoom or a Photo Mode that is implemented by many games similarly.

Totally agree on this. Having option to zoom in would be great. Also for content creating where you can use it to make some nice screens.

Yes, also in the other direction  Some perspective where I can see farther than my attack range.

Dynamic HUD and/or hiding certain UI elements from the HUD helps those with OLED burn-in anxiety. Thanks.

Hi Devs,

It would be awesome if you give us the option to disable or hide the HUD in order to take screenshots, OR, maybe make a button to press/hold in order to fulfill such need.

Regards,

Yes. Would like the option to turn off UI, but also a dynamic one for us OLED owners!

Same! I realize there are others posting, so didn’t want to make a new post about this, but hoping replies will help draw attention.

Followed the link, and I think that post is more about a way to indefinitely turn off UI for photo mode. While I like that idea, this poster seems more concerned about having the UI be static, with no option to allow it to fade when not in use, so that its not burning in expensive OLED monitors. I actually have to be mindful how long I play NRftW because I am paranoid the static UI will actually damage my screen. I realize OLED owners are in the minority, but a dynamic UI seems to exist in a lot of modern games. So, would be nice if that option existed here. And although not as many OLED owners, having the UI disappear is an option I turned on even before buying an OLED. So, I don’t think we’d be the only people to use that feature. Its nice to have an unobstructed view of your surroundings while you’re exploring!

Please add the option in the settings to be able to trigger the dynamic HUD, just like it’s done in Ori TWoTW where outside of combat the HUD hides unless you enter combat or press the attack button.
During exploration or while running from point A to B, I don’t need the HUD to be visible all the time on the screen and to slightly abstract what is a beautiful overall art design and presentation.

It would be really nive to have a photo mode or some way to hide the ui in game, since the visuals are so gorgeous and there are certain points in which the camera zoom out to give a fantastic wiew of the scenery

I’d also like viewfinders, something you can come upon during the campaign, click a little icon, and get a scenic view of the vistas.

The game is so beautiful, sometimes you just want to stare at it.

Problem: Sometimes the HUD is difficult to see, especially things like the enemy status bar, and the HUD elements in the top left corner are really only useful during downtime.

I’d like to be able to scale HUD elements, like the health and stamina bar, or the enemy status bars, to be larger and more visible, raise the level of their opacity, and move elements like the top left corner HUD to a more central and visible location.

Tangential, I’d also like the option to attach the fishing HUD to the bobber rather than the character. It’s not as big a deal as the combat HUD, just a would-be-nice.

I’d also like basically an option to keep hud scale and positioning to 16:9 1080 ratios.

Because I’ve got the mother of all first world problems with an extra large superwide screen, where I can’t catch hud elements outside the normal ratio, and sometimes even lose track of cursors in some games.

I’d just like the extra screenspace for immersion, but I currently play most games cropped and at reduced size just to get the hud elements in place.
