Dynamic UI Hiding to Enhance Visual Immersion and Screenshots

A game like No Rest for the Wicked would greatly benefit from an option that automatically hides the interface when the character stands still. This would allow players to capture clean, cinematic, and visually stunning screenshots without UI elements breaking immersion.

Please see the example below: one version without the interface, which I removed using AI.

This feature would not only improve screenshots, but also strengthen the game’s visual presentation by allowing players to fully appreciate beautiful environments. When showcasing landscapes, the interface could hide automatically, without requiring the player to remain idle for a set amount of time, making the experience feel more immersive and natural.

would be good as a general feature, the game kinda does this already on the autowalks leading up to a cutscene or scripted dialogue sequence

For now, what the players can do is:
Download and install Reshade with addon: https://reshade.me/downloads/ReShade_Setup_6.7.1_Addon.exe
1. Select “NoRestForTheWicked.exe”

2. Install with DirectX 10/11/12

3. Uncheck All on effects to install:

4. Select Add-on: “ShaderToggler By Otis inf”

Click on finish and download the mod on Nexusmod (HUD Toggle) [Account required, but the download is free, don’t worry]

  1. Extract the content in the zip file downloaded in the folder of NRFTW and when in game, Press Caps Lock in the keyboard.
