Pestilence zone cooldowns are too long

The post-game mode with the Pestilence zones is a nice touch; however, I feel the amount of time the locations are “cleansed” is too long. Right now, it takes 24 hours before the pestilence spreads to a location. While I understand the logic, I feel it can be implemented better.

I suggest that while the Pestilence can’t spread to a zone by itself within those 24 hours, the player can manually trigger a pestilence zone earlier. This way, players can trigger these challenges when desired.

That, or decrease the time between manually triggering a pestilence zone (say, ten minutes).

You can manually trigger them with effigies that you craft in the roost. However once you clear those zones aswell you will eventually run into a 24 hour cd. Cause you cant repeat trigger a zone over and over with the effegies which is bad.

I would honestly prefer if zones spawned naturally like every hour. And that you can turn it off with the crucible. Cause right now the “cleanse” world in the crucible feels silly when literally what everyone wants to do in the endgame is do the pestilence zones. but the game is time gating.

Yeah much better to trigger one zone with pestilence every hour reserving the 24 hour cooldown for the pestilence to get stronger maybe? You can go to the senechal to clean the map anyway.

I had a bad experience with the pestilence zone, I did the first pestilence area for the quest and burned some items to make it one rank stronger, barely managed to complete it but I did it. Then I spawned another with an effigy and ranked it up but didn’t read the debuffs when I ranked up and and one of the debuffs wipe out my focus on a single cast, but I am caster build with charged or channelled spells so they don’t do anything and my melee isn’t strong at all. All the monsters were one hitting me so I had to clean the map at the senechal and now I’m stuck with the 24 hour cd. Not great at all. I’m now creating a melee based character so if it happens again I can switch builds.

Edit: just noticed you can burn anything at a fire to open a pestilence area as long as your burn enough of it. So not to worry about the timer.
