Perfekt Timings on Charged attacks/Charged Shots

Title says it all.

I personally find Something extremely satisfying about charging and releasing at the right Moment to get a bit more Punch Out of an Attack and honestly the First time i tried that in NRFTW i was kinda let down that there isn’t a mechanic in Combat for that when we even have Something Like that in gathering.

Also some chargeable bow attacks Like from the Longbow could have the Same mechanic. The Bow from Hades comes to mind which Just felt amazing.

How do you guys feel about a perfekt timing for Charged attacks?

I almost never wait for my 2H charged attacks to get fully charged i release them sooner ofc depends on situations..

Some bows however i fully charge them until they auto release.

Idon’t think perfect timing on a charged attack makes sense. I think perfect timing on an attack for finesse weapons like rapiers and daggers could be a really cool mechanism.

Charged attacks should do more damage the longer you “Charge” the attack. I think that Charged attacks should cost an initial stamina amount and then once you have reached the charge point, they should consume focus to do further increases in damage.

Changing some weapons like rapiers to instead of “Charge” do a lets call it a “Finesse” Attack, where you have a perfect timing mechanic on each of its individual attack mechanics, I think would really differentiate weapons in the game.

Good Idea.

Makes me think to maybe have multiple Levels of charges in heavy weapons. So kinda Like the greatsword in Monster Hunter you’d have 3 different Timings to Release the Attack in the right Moment so you can do a small charge while still getting that satisfying Release and the Charge would still get stronger over time. Meanwhile Finesse weapons don’t need to Charge Long anyways and have 1 perfect Release.
