:hammer_and_wrench: Early Access Patch Notes - Together Hotfix 8

Hey folks,

This update brings performance improvements, combat tuning, and a round of fixes shaped by player feedback. Before we head down the final stretch toward 1.0 launch, we wanted to get this into your hands.

Regarding the issue that hit certain users causing their realms to become hidden – we had already deployed a partial fix to prevent this issue from happening again but now, with the maintenance period before this hotfix, we’ve also fixed all accounts that had hidden realms as well (also yes the servers are back up!).

:hammer_and_wrench: Performance:

  • Added pool pruning to clear pools in Main Menu and improve performance on subsequent sessions
  • Fixed certain pooling leaks

:hammer_and_wrench: Quality of Life:

  • SFX adjustments for rune swapping
  • Rune swapping now supports unique weapons as well (you still cannot destroy runes/place new runes in unique weapons)
  • Improved Ilaria’s Stamina runes’ animations if they are used in Bows
  • Further improvements to the Realm Diary feature
  • Added SFX to the Callouts in the gesture menu
  • Improved parry & critical hit VFX

:hammer_and_wrench: Duels:

  • Players are now able to be backstabbed in duels
  • Poise-break lasts slightly longer in duels
  • Added a poise meter for each player during duels

:hammer_and_wrench: Balance:

Thorns has been rebalanced to allow for more interesting combat/builds. Prior to the rebalance, late game Thorns/Damage on Damage Taken/Damage on Block scaled to the point of allowing enemies to die without needing to actually fight them.

  • Thorns Reworked
    • Damage is now calculated based on the damage received, instead of the enemy level
    • Added slight diminishing returns curve on stacking thorns
    • Backstabs and ranged/spell attacks no longer trigger Thorns
  • Thistle Ring damage has been reduced to be more in line with the changes to Thorns
  • Snake Ring damage has been reduced to be more in line with the changes to Thorns
  • Failed Parry cooldown increased from 0.1s to 0.3s
  • Reduced the amount of Gloam enemies that spawn in Arena E1 in multiplayer

:hammer_and_wrench: Localization

  • Further Improvements to localization for various languages
  • Fixed invisible text in some languages

:hammer_and_wrench: Bug Fixes

  • Fixed being able to get infinite stats if the player had three separate enchantment power gems in the same item
  • Fixed getting stuck in the Whisper Upgrade menu
  • Fixed Bloodbound Torment having invisible plague effects that were still active after killing the boss
  • Fixed refineries’ slots showing your inventory items as placed inside
  • Fixed Finley’s spawn time being based on UTC, regardless of players’ actual local timezone
  • Fixed being able to respawn during multi-stage boss fights, which caused multiple issues, including not being able to re-join the fight
  • Fixed not being able to teleport to the Mountain Gate whisper after reaching it during Faith and Flame
  • Fixed Proud Lance not being correctly affected by diminishing returns & being able to take players past 100% damage reduction
  • Fixed Echo Knight instantly dying if he teleports through the Riven Twins’ arena wall during his second phase
  • Fixed players getting put in boss fights if their character was in the boss arena, then joined the realm after Of Rats and Raiders was set to spawn the boss
  • Fixed houses’ Comfort buff bringing players above their max health threshold when re-joining a realm, while they had Max Health decreased enchantments active
  • Fixed players being stuck if they talked to Speaker Termina
  • Fixed being able to access the eastern Sacrament expansion by falling from Nameless pass
  • Fixed Render Scale slider when using FSR and DLSS
  • Fixed being able to access an out-of-bounds area in Sacrament by climbing up the dummy by the entrance of Nameless Pass
  • Fixed not being able to “contribute all” to a Danos Project if the first resource was fully contributed
  • Fixed dead players’ character model re-appearing & A-posing if their resurrection was left at 98/99%
  • Fixed housing items incorrectly displaying a level range that it can be crafted between
  • Fixed Torn Retchers spitting enemies out with the wrong orientation
  • Fixed Torn Retchers not having the correct death effect when dying while frozen
  • Fixed a shiny being visible, but not being able to be looted on The Shallows tower bridge
  • Fixed the ship captain floating slightly in the air upon making a new realm
  • Fixed duels not ending when entering housing interiors mid-duel
  • Fixed rings showing up in the Infusion & Enchantment screens
  • Fixed Comfort System status being hidden in certain languages
  • Fixed Builder’s Workbench not showing as craftable on Basic Workbench
  • Fixed Darak being frozen for the full freeze duration during phase 1, even when he was killed
  • Fixed traps respawning in Crucible if players walked far enough away from them
  • Fixed being able to interact with Fillmore before all bandits are dead in Multiplayer
  • Fixed players starting to sidle when interacting with House Management at The Knot
  • Fixed the burn option at bonfires stating that you cannot start a pestilence outbreak if you had previously had the burn option highlighted in a zone where the pestilence outbreak was cleared
  • Fixed The Spread of the Plague tutorial not having an image within the tutorial panel
  • Fixed being able to hear the Brinerot Vault gate SFX while very far away
  • Fixed portrait positioning on wide screen with aspect ratio constrain turned on
  • Fixed the pestilence outbreak meter still showing when switching realms
  • Fixed the comfort system top-right HUD element not appearing in some languages
  • Fixed Orban Glades de-loading while in some parts of Mariner’s Keep
  • Fixed Lara & Reed’s house in Lowland Meadows showing “Missing Localization” as the zone name
  • Fixed all previous chat messages staying the same language upon switching languages
  • Fixed the Crucible reward room text for returning to the Atrium being offset
  • Fixed automatically standing up when knocked down while wielding certain weapon types, but then returning to the knocked down animation afterwards
  • Fixed Gordon not being present on top of the old bridge while The Shallows is plagued
  • Fixed the icons under crafting requirements clipping into each other

Everyone awaited for nerfs for spells and one-shot zooming builds.. I see Thomas like to call other games “Cookie Clickers” and as well planing no rest to be one - when there’s no nerfs for zooming builds.

Entire gameplay now looks like in POE where we just zoom from mob to mob one shot → teleport → one shot → teleport… Most of spells need tuning and most players awaited nerfs to tone it to promised level But no.. We have thorns rework…

Sorry but im as well as my wife changes review to negative for that zooming. As melee im just running after her and i don’t even have time to hit any mob as she as spell caster just one shot everything without even bis gear - on random items without even upgrading character. Spells are busted. Nerf that power-creep cookie-clicker shh.

I agree. This is not game for that. One shotting bosses is awful for this game. I already posted few times about it, but devs are looking at only one part of feedback from community, so i wonder if they ever read anything i posted.

Let her take off the battlecry ring and your problem is fixed.

If you give 2 negative reviews for this, in my view you are both very sad people :person_shrugging:

Giving negative reviews because they balanced a game breaking build, but not the one that you deal with, is childish. Obviously they’re working on these things, but they can only do so much at a time. Better them focus on one or two things at a time than spread out so much it makes things worse, or so long between updates it feels like an abandoned game.

First of all… thank you, Moon, for great work!
Regarding the “thorns”, I think you’re moving in the right direction. So, I have a suggestion:
Thorns mechanic further rework suggestion - Wicked Feedback - No Rest For The Wicked

Undocumented, but extremely appreciated change: Players now start duels at 50% of max focus!

I wonder if those Bug fixes solve the problem with bosses spamming the same attack infinite times, like the crucible Boss spamming the teleport infinitely until you die, or that Big Guy casting the pestilence puddles until the entire map is covered, also i dont know if is intended but around effects that come from Monsters last way too much time on the around, almost 2 minutes sometimes more, i thought It was a graphical bug but not, even after they die some fire or pestilence puddles stay there for minutes, even if you die and respawn again they persiste, i Hope this gets fixed soon

I guess I’ll use the other 3 ways to get there :wink:
