Someone said you can stack runes now. So like you have to vote how much you love the patch.

I will vote yes if thats true. I’m a man of my word, that’s all I really needed. I wanted Grovebinders fix and rune stacking.

I won’t say I love it, but I will be satisfied as per the question asked in the poll.

Huh? Last I remeber, and this would be a more than 3 years old memory, you could fall off edges if you attacked near a ledge in Elden Ring.

depends on the ledge, u can not fall of ledges that would kill u while in an attack animation.

What is this constant music in Sacrament even with the Music slider set to 0% in the Audio Options?

Is this on purpose? I hope it doesn’t affect other areas, because that would be a disaster for me and I would be unable to play anymore. Would you please look into it?

EDIT: It seems it’s only in Sacrament. The music stops when you go anywhere else or even when you enter the Tavern. Still, please consider it for the next hotfix.

Saying “everybody calls it” does not magically make it so. Stop injecting your preferences and opinions as the voice of the people, they are just your own.

But since you’re stuck with wanting to discuss what’s delusional or not, you can have that conversation with yourself. This is not a productive discussion, and if I wanted trite retorts I’d go waste time on petty discord drama.

That’s exactly what I want, just increase the affix slots on staff to match shield+wand and give it an offensive edge since it lacks the pose and armor+ block of shield.

So you choose wand+shield for more defensive loadouts and staff for more offensive ones, but they play by the same amount of affixes.

Is the damn elden ring a metric for everything these days ? Also IIRC weapon skills didn’t have protection, only basic light/heavy button mashing.

As for the initial impressions of this patch:

  • flinching is still too easy in hard mode, but at least one can get occasionally surprised
  • cursor going to other monitors still not fixed (at this point - and including Ori games - I’m 100% sure they must be doing it deliberately)
  • dodge-on-press with priority over run … probably pointless to still mention it
  • targeting still pain in the ass
  • game desperately focusing viewport on wrong target (or following some weighted center) in duo-boss fights
  • babysitting with aforementioned ledge protection; why didn’t they disable it in “hard mode” is beyond me
  • post-story area base levels (21-26) still far too low; another thing that should be boosted in hard mode

I will do KB/M check pass later, seems some more simple stuff was fixed.

plz can we look at stamina and running in genral? it sucks to do lung attacks while not moving because i Have sprint on toggle. Also for K&M is it possible to allow us to target using our mouse instead of making the character face the enemy?? cuz the delay on the targeting is annoying to play around.. otherwise W patch still in the early game cause i started a new playthrough.
PS. can we change targeting icon to any other color than white? it kinda blends sometimes with some maps and can be hard to see.. plus the delay makes it bit annoying but still W patch

last thing can we actually jump now?? not sure if this real or not but it feels like we can jump manually now

i was merely stating a fact nobody has ever complained about as answer on a statement that called ledges unneccessary now since ledge protection makes them apparently completely obsolete. and i never heard anyone say that about elden ring ledge protection, so i brought it up again. in fact i read it here on the forum and in discord multiple times, that people used it as reference on how good ledge protection should work.

aside from that i can not really say much about the patch, since i haven’t had any time whatsoever today.

i can only say that i am a bit disappointed by the realm modifiers as well. i understood them as some sort of “customize your own D&D experience” kind of thing, but after all its just difficulty settings. i really hope there is more to come, like randomizers, stupid settings like tripple enemy count or make every enemy super huge etc. :smiley:

Indeed, a combination of Hades/Smash/Palworld level of customization would be cool.

Thomas on Twitter said custom realms are yet to be shipped, so this is not the final implementation.

This is not in fact Elden Ring #x. The game doesn’t need to be exactly like Elden Ring because it is not in fact Elden Ring. If you want extra extra difficulty and the game is too easy there are several ideas I can suggest. For example. You can try Elden Ring. This game It is exactly like that game that is better, called Elden Ring. It’s a lot more hardcore so you can, get this, do Elden Ring things and get Elden Ring achievements and be in fact superior to all the skill-less noobs. Die to Gravity. Die to some other thing that you enjoy dying too. Die 345 times walking uphill both ways in the dead of winter. Not collect food. Enjoy the Bonfire. Be more Elden Ring. Make Gravity Make sense. Praise the sun! You can do all of that and more in this amazing game that is in fact the most Elden Ring thing out there. All the Elden Ring players will sing songs about your deeds. This game is too easy, and frankly below your skill level to bother with. Alternatively I got a great idea. If you are really intent in making this game the most hardcore for everyone, because clearly how else will people git good, here’s what the devs must do(because we want challenge and we want the game to be true real hardcore game that doesn’t hold your hand): If you die in game the game uninstalls steam then sends a drone strike on your location. Leaderboard points for the person who survives longest. Extra points for those that can do it hitless.

LOL the drone strikes should come with coordinated holograms broadcasting “git gut”.

Anecdotally (did not verified because lazy) Ukranian army gamified their drone strike division performance with scoreboard and it greatly boosted effectiveness.

So DS players are def not Hardcore enough, playing on easy mode. My god what noobs.
