Optional Death mechanics for more difficulty

So far the game has been fantastic, and I really love the challenge in the game. However playing on the hardest difficulty, is a challenge i feel like the current death and revive mechanic makes things a little to easy. I came to this game as a souls fan, and experiencing the combat i can absolutely feel every part that was inspired by the souls games.

But if you are used to this style of combat system i can see how even on the most challenging difficulty, it doesn’t feel as difficult as i would like. I would hope that in the future moon studio’s adds a retrieve exp on death system. I understand most players won’t like the chance of losing all their exp progress to the next level, however to make the hardest difficulty feel properly challenging i think an exp loss on death and retrieve system would be amazing.

I would suggest, this exp loss and retrieve system on death be added to the hardest difficulty for players who want the challenge, and have it be an optional setting in the realm tier setting. so if players want a balanced style of play, keep torren as is, but add an option to chosen that lets you turn on exp loss on death and retrieval system, while unspoken has it on by default. treat it similar to the hardcore setting letting you turn it on and off. after all i know some players would love the challenge of a system like this that isn’t as hard as hardcore but still another difficulty spike to challenge players.
