Hi,
I can’t find any solution for this, me and my friend managed to play once together, since, they can join any of the game i invite them in, but i can’t join myself. Every time i try to join an open game, i get locked on the loading screen, error msg, and send back on title screen. I check everything, check the game file, check firewall, uninstall, nothing change. They have no issue at all to play together, i’m the one with the issue, it’s a pain because we buy this game to play together, even if we were enjoying our solo experience so far..
Ensure Universal Plug and Play is enabled on your router. (If you didnt set up the router in your home speak to the one who did)
In Windows
Or set your network profile in Windows from “Public” to “Private.”
(Windows 11)
Press Win + I to open Settings.
Click Network & internet on the left sidebar.
Select Wi-Fi or Ethernet (depending on your active connection).
Click on your connected network name at the top.
Under Network profile type, select either:
Private network: Allows your PC to be discovered by other devices on your local network (best for home/co-op gaming).
Public network: Keeps your PC hidden from other devices (best for public Wi-Fi).
(Windows 10)
Press Win + I to open Settings.
Click Network & Internet.
Select Status, then click Properties under your active connection (or click Wi-Fi / Ethernet from the left sidebar and select your network).
Under Network profile, choose Public or Private.
You can always try Region Matching through Steam:
Ensure both you and the host have matching Steam Download Regions
IPv6 Configuration:
(Change this one back if it doesnt work)
Disable IPv6 in your network adapter properties, forcing the game to route traffic purely over IPv4.
I can relate to your problem but it’s not always the same solution for everyone, as ive had this problem more than three times on different systems and every solution was different for each system and game i tried.
Sometimes its a mix of different solutions together that might fix these types of issues.
On a sidenote, ask your friends to turn off or on their VPNs
or if you have a VPN try to Turn on or off Your VPN
Setting the game to always start as an administrator can in some cases solve this type of issue..
I’m playing on CachyOS through Steam with GE-Proton10-27 in compatibility mode. Game runs perfectly fine in the sense of performance and loading times.
When trying to join a shared realm, either mine or of a friend, the game gets stuck in loading. The loading animation ‘flower’ bottom right doesn’t do it’s animation but the game isn’t frozen, though it runs at 1200fps±. I can still move the mouse as well.
It looks like a networking issue.
While I understand linux is not being officially supported, I would rather play the game than have it returned.
