I’ve recently installed the game, but I can’t seem to get past the first few minutes without the game crashing back into Windows. Screen just freezes so I have to crtl+alt+del to get back into windows. I have tried lowering/changing graphics settings as I recon that’s where the issue is, but haven’t had any joy so far. Any help would be much appreciated!

The game started crashing on my old PC that had an RX 580 and an FX8350 processor (yes, it was quite old and I didn’t report it because I thought it was the PC). But then I bought a new PC now with an RTX 5070 Ti and an i7 14700k Processor.
And it keeps crashing. I notice that it usually crashes at the beginning of the game with the PC (cold) and then stops crashing after a while. If I enter a very heavy area like the one in the photo below, it almost always crashes. But I don’t know exactly what could be causing the crash.

Hello! The game crashes after 10-15 minutes. Changing the settings does not give results. At some point, the picture freezes. I haven’t had this before the last update. I provide the logs. I’m asking for help. As I understand it, I am not the only one who has encountered such a problem.
Did any of the developers even look at my files? Please put at least a + so that I know.

I’m having crashing issue on the game, and I’ve tried many things to solve the issue but nothings worked, here’s what I’ve done already:
launching the game as admin
updated all drivers
-deactivated Vsync on my NVIDIA control panel
checked the integrity of game files
I’ve tried lowering the graphism, played in performance etc.. it does nothing
uninstall and reinstall
I checked the config it requires, but it should be more than fine, my graphic card is: NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2080 TI; processor: AMD RYZEN 9 3900XT 12 core; 64G of ram
-I checked the task manager, but everything seems normal and working fine, no peak
The crash happens randomly around 0 to 20mn usually, it just stops and freezes and says “NRFTW stopped working”, there’s no concrete way to reproduce this, it just happens randomly generally before 20mn but sometimes it can take around 1h, maybe more, it’s really random.

This is not a new crash due to the new patch, I have it since I have the game (when the game was released).

I just bought the game today. I started it up, it played the moon studious logo animation, then there was a red circle i believe? and it started spinning in the bottom right corner of the screen, which im assuming is a loading indicator. And then right after that, the music starts to play, and my game just freezes when i click on it, then it gives me a “norestforthewicked.exe” is not responding message and no matter how long i wait, it doesnt load and i have to close the game. Please help, i spent 58 bucks and i’ve spent 60 minutes sitting on the load up screen -_-. I really want to get to play it.

DISCLAIMER - I already refunded the game before i made this post. I’m going to buy the game again but i feel like if i do then i won;t be able to get a refund again in case there is no solution found to my problem.
Knowing your system specs and having the bug reports would help a lot in solving your issue! Here is where you can post your bug report, and here is how to grab the files/upload them.
Some possible causes could be low storage space, the game being on an HDD instead of an SSD, your cpu not supporting AVX instruction sets, and so on. There are too many variables without having more information, sadly.

Title, right now I can’t pinpoint for sure when the game is gonna crash, maybe when its loading shaders? I certanly don’t know, before this mayor update it still crashed like this but I could play for longer, If I give it a shot, I would say it’s when loading a new area. Details, almost every program start to crash too, be it steam and discord, both which chugs quite the ram too, so I tested closing most programs but no luck, game still crashes. I will add the last three crash logs and my dxdiag.
Update: doing some trouble shooting I found myslef playing more than one hour and closing the game myself and not with a crash using rescalation with TAA and CSA, maybe it’s AMD FSR the culprit after all?
I have the same issue. Game crashes after a couple of minutes. Can’t tell why. Windows 11, RTX 3080, Ryzen 5600X, 32 GB RAM. Game ran flawlessly before patch. I am playing the story, bought the game a couple of days ago, am at the beginning. Currently unplayable.

Did you tried changing the resolution rescalation method from AMD FSR to TAA CSA?
my game keeps crashing after 2-3 minutes this started to happen after i entered the meadow area since then i got several crashes even when i go out of the area and all.

I have the same crashing problem (shared the logs in my own thread) and switching from DLSS to TAA didn’t help
I can load into saves fine, but my game will freeze and need to be force closed after a few minutes of gameplay. There’s no action that consistently triggers this as far as I can tell. The last time I played was before the Crucible rework, and I didn’t experience these crashes then.
