enchants: right now there isnt many enchants that are actually satisfying to use, weapon and armor modifyers should add mechanics to the game not simply improve a stat that doesnt even matter. theres a reason some of the most fun to play games where loot is the main appeal is to make a build that allows you to run super fast or teleport and explode.
there should be modifiers that actually change how you play for example the lighting instead of just procing it by hitting you should have to hit different enemies at least once to cause a chain explosion of lighting, maybe it procs every 5 seconds and you can stack multihits along with multiple ememies within a certain. or maybe guaranteed crit after parry or stagger. or stacking crit damage the more crits in a row, or random attack modifiers on crit.
focus: focus abilities need to be stronger and more satisfying to use, its stupid that some items have a focus ability that hits multiple enemies and for multiple hits while others hit once.
research and drops: if you pick up an item you should not have to research it, or researching should only cost 1 paper.
embers: Add way more drops for embers, right now to make only 1 set of armor and weapon it took all my embers and i didnt even get a completed set of enchants i want. i fully upgraded the town and finished the current story, reached max level.
i know it may seem you dont want to give so much because its too easy to create a strong build but more often than creating a perfect strong build people will be wanting to try many different builds.
multiplayer: add more coop mechanics, right now there isnt anything besides fighting enemies together. most often people wont be progressing the story together because people play at differnt times. if you arent going to add actual coop/multiplayer mechanics, it should just be removed entirely.
with proper sound design you can make the parry window even smaller.
enemies: right now there are certain enemies that dont have great sound design to signify when to parry, play expedition 33 to see how to do proper sound design for parrys.
also there are enemies where i parry and i cant attack without first walking closer, i believe the large nith are the main ones with this issue, this is very dissatisfying to the player.
final point is that you should be able to animation cancel to at least dodge but in my opinion to both dodge and parry. not allowing animation cancelling in a pve game is one of the worst design decisions devs make.
i played the game on the hardest difficulty and since the enemies rarely exceed a few at a time the entire game can be played just parrying and hitting once or twice then parrying again then hitting again. stamina doesnt matter and focus doesnt matter.
items: i never used the items besides the defense vial focus vial and stamina vial for bosses because its too hard to switch between them and bombs are mostly useless since the combat is so easy.
