Interesting, for Linux users there also was a problem with this: Missing resolution option with Linux - #25 by Jrock24 but I cannot see how they would compare.
I will let Moon know about this, in the mean time I highly recommend to troubleshoot this!

Thx!
I have already tried to change res via regedit, windows scaling compatipility for exe, driver reinstall via DDU, applied latest win11 kb’s and nothing helps.
Can’t play the game right now, waiting for the fix from devs.
Hi all!
I have just got a new QHD monitor Gigabyte MO27Q28G. I’m pairing it with my ROG Ally (Windows 11). Yesterday I went to play No Rest For The Wicked and couldn’t find the QHD resolution in the settings. For some reason it is capped at Full HD (see the screenshot attached). The QHD resolution is set and shown correctly in Nvidia control panel (as well as in Windows. I have tried to force QHD through both Steam launch settings and Nvidia app, alas, to no avail. This does not seem to be a problem in any other game I’ve tried. The only thing that comes to mind as a potential reason for this behaviour is the fact that Ally’s internal screen has Full HD resolution.
Looking forward for your advice and possible solutions!
Hey kate,
If i understand you correctly, you are plugging your ROG Ally into the monitor, and then the monitor doesn’t list the resolution you want?
And other games do not have this problem?
Best I can do for you is forward this problem, but I’m secretly hoping other players can help out!
Is something here Missing resolution option with Linux - #26 by pakku of value to you?
Silas
Hi Silas,
No, I am using XG Mobile as an external GPU and have a full set up, including a keyboard and monitor linked through it. The monitor’s resolution is identified correctly in all other games, except for No Rest For The Wicked. And thank you for the link to the other post, however, it seems to be a Linux issue there, and the provided solutions are not applicable to my scenario. Would be great if you could forward my problem to the team! I can also send any log files in case they would be of help.
Kate
Same thing for me. Also an LG OLED.
Similar issue. ROG ally x plugged into TV. No options for tv resolution.
No issues with any of my other Steam games. Hades II, God of War, Cyberpunk….all list 4k as a resolution to match my TV.
Alright I’m going to forward this problem guys. Thanks for being so detailed in your description, that will help!

Also getting this same issue on an lg OLED tv
Started the game for the first time and have the same issue. No resolution options available at all. And the game starts on the wrong monitor (vertical one) with wrong tresolution. Can not play it at all int the moment.
PC setup with Win11 ( 7800X3D - 7900XTX )
I solved mine by disconnecting all monitors except my main one.
Same problem here, my laptop monitor defaults to 1920x1200 but shows it in-game as “custom” for the resolution. Any attempt to change it not only shows the native resolution of 2560x1600 missing, but also just an odd mix of available choices. If I change off the “custom’“ option there is no way to go back to 1920x1200 without restarting the game.
Exact same issue on an LG OLED TV. I’ve tried to manually set resolution in steam and in desktop mode with no results. Crucible legacy mode will display in 4k as a selectable option in the dropdown. Latest build version removes numerous resolution options. I also have the LG 5K2K monitor and while hooked up to the monitor it shows the correct resolution option
The Game settings menue is not showing any options for changing the resolution of the screan.
Also changing the mode from “Full Screen Window” to “Windowed” have no effect.
If I start the game it’s in a strange aspect ratio/resolution.
Reinstalling the game did not solve the issue.
PC settup have 2 displays. Display1 the main is in vertical 1440p and the display2 is horizontal 1440p.
If only one monitor is connected (horizontal one) game works normally.
Its runig Windows 11 on 7800X3D + 7900XTX
It is missing on my second PC too.
I have the same problem, 1 xiaomi g27 pro miniled monitor and 9070XT card, maybe the problem is in AMD >?

You could try to Use only Second Screen?
i guess Windows 11 in this case treats the internal 1080p display as the “primary” anchor for games which is in a way pretty normal if you make use of multiple monitors.
Before you start the game through steam
You can try: Press Win + P and select Second Screen Only
If it still doesn’t work then..
(before you start the game)
You can also try to Go to Windows Settings > System > Display and make sure the Monitors Display Scaling is set to 100% or 125%
(before you start the game)
Open AMD Software and Verify that GPU Scaling is ON
and here’s a Steam command you can try:
SteamDeck=0 -screen-width 2560 -screen-height 1440 %command%
Anyways i hope you find a solution if this doesnt work! ![]()
