Missing resolution options after coop update (Windows 11)

I have a LCD Steam Deck that has been modified to a 1920x1080 oled display. This mod is bought from DeckSight. It works in every game by setting 1920x1080 in max resolution in steam deck option (global option). But for No Rest for the Wicked it doesn’t work. I can’t go above 1920x800. The higher 16:9 resolution is 1368 x 768.

I’ve tried a decky plugin I already have to enable loseless scaling app on steam deck, there is an option to make the game think it isn’t a steam deck. It changes nothing.

I’ve tried the launch option steamdeck=0 %command% it changed nothing.

I’ve tried steamdeck=0 -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080 %command%, the game wont even boot.

I’ve tried proton ge compatibility layer, changed nothing. Tried to force 1920x1080 at multiple place in steam deck option. Didnt fix.

So, there must be something wrong in the game preventing me to use the resolution I want.

Try setting it to windowed mode and then directly check available resolutions and if it appear select it and then turn on Fullscreen again.

Btw you said you bought the mod, have you installed it correctly? There is drivers on their website that you have to install

because what you are saying tells me that the game is still reading the old screen.

Even if other games shows the correct resolutions in a list doesnt mean they actually change to that exact resolution when you change, there are those games who check available resolutions for your device based on what you have and those other games who have resolution options hardcoded into the settings menu

(Back in the old days I have even gotten this setting on one game in its early beta it showed 4k resolutions even though i had a VGA-Cable connected thankfully it didn’t do anything when i selected it but it could’ve given me black screen if it had worked)

Yes I have the modded Bios. No, going in windowed mode change nothing. The higher resolution shown is 1920x800 regardless of if I’m in windowed or fullscreen.

My steamdeck in desktop mode is set to 1920x1080, and so it is in gamescope mode and in every other game.

Any update to this?

Does anyone else still have this problem?

Just put together a PC (another 9070XT so definitely feeling like AMD might be an issue), and it’s not showing any resolutions above 1080p despite using an LG C4 with all other games running at 4K/144. I’ve tried every solution posted on multiple boards, but none work.

I’m sorry I don’t have any new information on this.

Patch 1 did not seem to include resolution for this problem.

You will need to wait or find a soft fix yourself :smiling_face_with_tear: .

Just bought a new PC. Rx 9070 xt. Played no rest for the wicked for about 4 days in 4k then it changed to 1080p and the option for 4k or any other resolution above 1080p is gone. Any fixes for this yet as it is ruining my experience and I can see this has been an on going issue for several months now. Most devs normally fix these issues pretty sharpish

Sorry phil for that bump in your enjoyment, any notable changes that might have effected this change?

I have re-escalated this issue into the proper channels, hope this can be fixed soon.

I have just changed my PC to load in xbox mode so I thought it was that. I have disabled this and tryed again but still no fix. From what i’m hearing quite a few people with amd graphics are getting this bug

Go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced display

Verify that your refresh rate is set correctly, as an incorrect refresh rate can sometimes lock out higher 4K resolutions.

Or

Open Settings (Win + I) > System > Display

  1. Scroll down and click Advanced display.
  2. Look at your Active signal resolution. If it says 1920 x 1080 or whatever, click Display adapter properties for Display 1.
  3. In the pop-up window, click List All Modes.
  4. Select your native resolution and refresh rate

Adjust the global scaling setting

Sometimes high desktop scaling percentages confuse the xbox app container.

Go to Settings > System > Display
Or Right-click on the desktop and select display settings.

  1. Under Scale & layout, temporarily drop your scale down to 100%.
  2. Then Change your resolution to 3840x2160.
  3. Once locked back into 4K, you can raise your scaling percentage back to your preferred viewing size.

Check your graphics software (such as NVIDIA Control Panel, NVIDIA app, or AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition) to see if a custom virtual resolution or specific game profile forced a 1080p output limit.

For NVIDIA:

Open the NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > DSR - Factors Uncheck all options, click Apply, and restart your PC

I dont know how for AMD GPUs
I have only used the AMD APP with AMD CPUs and very old AMD GPUs

If nothing here fix your problem there is still more things you can try but you might have to find it yourself or wait for a potential solution from someone else that might have a fix to your problem.

:innocent:

Thanks for the help. Very nice of you to write out that paragraph to try to help a stranger. I will check this over when I get a chance but I have already tryed both the first and second recommendations. Will give the last one a shot :crossed_fingers: its strange because it was running in 4k then suddenly the option disappeared. The game looks ok in 1080p but its still one of those niggling issues i’m desperate to fix

Tryed it all, nothing. Friend i’m playing with has the same issue and he is on rtx 5070ti so no idea. Must be a problem for the devs
