Would be great if game automatically mark my last death location, so i can understand better where i have to go after respawn to continue my journey. This feature is also included in Elden Ring, yes in NRFTW there is no penalty in the exact death location, but as a new player i donnot know the map that well.
Since there’s no real penalty in dying than traveling back to where you died and/or items with death penalties, I don’t think that feature would change anything. I mean if you died it’s the enemy fault, not the map one (well if you felt it can technically be the map fault ) so having a pin on the map to show you where you’re dead won’t change anything, the enemy would still be there waiting for you to come back for the second round.
On an other hand, knowing how much damages the enemy dealt before you died could be a valid information, somehow like in LoL when you get killed, so you could learn what attack to dodge etc. But in my humble opinion, this must not be add to the game, learning in difficulty is far more rewarding
This would be useful if they add penalty to death but as you don’t lose anything nor drop any item when you die, just walk back to where you were, the map is still small so you get to memorize it after few plays.
