Many users need to frequently check the map in order to make progress

There is a topic in the Korean community that I personally relate to, so I’d like to share my feedback.

In the story it is relatively less necessary, but after the story, when doing activities such as plagues or bounties, many users say they have to move around while frequently checking the map.

Is there any way to get around without having to constantly check the map? It breaks immersion.

This is due to the lack of experience in navigating this type of game, you need to develop a sense of orientation and learn the map.

As a temporary solution you could open this: https://nrftwhub.com/ on your phone.

Or you could print the map physically.

For learning the map you have to take reference points and understand where you’re going, where the shortcuts are, etc.

The in-game solution would be to implement a minimap, but the devs will never do that, it’s a game element that’s hated because it takes up a lot of the interface, and the devs care about that.

But maybe there is a mod that implements the minimap.

With experience it should be no Problem to navigate.

Looking only on the map when some bounties are marked on the map.

I feel a similar sentiment, with more knowledge they’ll know where things are.

But would it hurt if they added icons on your screen which resembled the quests you were tracking? This would look similar to the plague boss icon which tells you where the boss is.

Currently if you click “Pin to HUD” doesn’t provide any noticable tracking.

The map has colored pings that you can manually place on the quest you want to do, so this feature already exists.

The reason why the quests aren’t already present is that it would be very annoying to have 5 of these signs always present on the map.

You can put markers on the map. The icons appears when you run around

I explained my point poorly. I am saying the icon appears at the location when you pin/track it. Yes, this is equally solve by manually putting a market at the quest location.

I’m still struggling to understand the topic. From what I’ve seen quest markers have appeared correctly at the applicable location. Can you grab a screenshot next time you see it?
