After the update and new start (loss of prev. char), i extracted some runes, at first it worked proberly. After revisiting the town, the next extracting of runes no longer worked. i made a verify of the data via steam, afterwards the game only accepts xbox/ps-controller input mode. even new install of the game couldn’t solve the problem.

can you provide me with step by step what was done that lead up to the loss of input please.

I started playing 3 days prior to the update, with KB/M, all normal. After the update on 30.4. I tried to extract a rune (F-key) and failed. Then I started verifying the local data via steam and started playing again.
Then the game no longer accepted KB/M-input, on screen it showed the XBox-buttons on the left-lower part of the screen. I tried to change the settings, but all failed. I even used a PS5-controller, but the game still stuck.
At this point I started a new realm with a new character as a last resort. The XBox-buttons on the left-lower part of the screen were still on screen, but when I used the mouse, the character moved and the XBox-buttons disappeared. I switched to the other character and all worked fine, except I still couldn’t extract the runes. I used every available key and found that instead of ‘F’ I had to use ‘V’. And ‘Z’ switched to ‘Y’. I guessed some changes in the keyboard-mapping. After the hotfix all keys worked as designed.
