I don’t quite understand why items, even ones used to gather resources, have a durability number. I just leads to having multiple items of the same type in my inventory in case one breaks while out in the world.
As of writing this, I am still in the “tutorial” so I don’t know how/if it’ll change, but I’d prefer NOT having the “mechanic” present. It makes for cleaner inventory, and I won’t feel the need to constantly change my build because I HAVE to.
Edit: to add to this, you also have limited inventory space that can be later expanded using boss(?) materials.
