When you make permanent progress in the world - such as opening up shortcuts, upgrading your hub area or collecting shared resources - will it be possible to reset all permanent progress or start a completely new realm for a new character in offline single player (similar to how a ladder reset works)?
Yes, I know the majority prefer progress to be permanent across all characters and would never want to start from fresh. I personally enjoy a fresh start and am just asking for the option.
Realm progression is not tied to character progression.
Realms is its own separate entity
Each old/new realm is unique and has its very own unique progression for story/mission/challenges/bounties, found key items, houses/homes, discovered whispers and upgrades to hub area.
Characters is its own separate entity
If you create a new realm and enter it with a max leveled character you will then again still have to find all key items once more, do all quests once more and all those other things tied to realm progression.
I haven’t played the game yet; holding off until 1.0 to get the full experience.
