So this is less a negative and more a “this finally clicked moment.” The fact that plague damage is all about knockdown means that I can build so many different armor pieces off of how stagger gives me stamina or health or whatnot. I found that it’s really rather effective against anyone other than plague bosses. Lots of fun. Thanks!

I myself come fresh from a second build centered around plague damage.
First I had the same Idea, I wanted to make a build around the chest piece enchantment with “increased stagger on plagued enemies”. I looked in my chests and found a Scimitar with a “plague infusion” to complement the build. For the next two days… I had a really miserable time and was swearing like a sailor.
Then I replaced Scimitar with a scythe Hope Shorn (it has plague damage at base btw) and since then it is a blast. It can also stagger bosses.
do sailors swear that much really??? LOL
that even more interesting than the plague DMG stuff… XD
