I became Messi of the game with this build

Hello everyone I’m back with my first whole build and I believe I will be perfecting this build till 1.0 anyway enjoy! THE MESSI: BEST BOW BUILD EVER IN NO REST FOR THE WICKED TOGETHER

Cool. Any good bow builds that don’t use ring of determination?

I mean obviously there are but in my honest opinion if you use runes at late game rod or battlecry rings are mandatory

It really is a great build. Thanks for sharing it. I’m going to try to turn my Light character into that.

I’d be curious to see how it works without Ring of Determination

I’m happy with a strong build I don’t need an OP build.

It would be nice to see how the build works without the ring of determination.

(Since I certainly don’t use it because I don’t like it)

But it’s hard to understand in practice if by removing ring of determination I still like your build.

Not so sure it’s obvious. A lot of builds are using these rings. I haven’t used them yet and have been fine with end game on hard, so why mandatory?

Really glad that you like man appreciated

I understand the reason behind you dont like rod and yes Im pretty sure that you can make this build work without it but it ill be more tricky than this to min match and you wont be able to use rune attacks repeatedly like this without rod. My biggest dopamine hit in this game is to be able to use rune attacks freely ofc rod gives you high risk high reward in terms of gameplay but still love it.

I know that’s why it would be nice to see the gameplay to understand what it looks like without RoD.

Basically in the end game you must deal continious high damage to farm things fast and easiest way to do that use rune attacks and best way to use rune attacks without thinking about focus is to use rod or bcr.

Im finalizing my lazy dad build which uses laquered bow and basic attacks only and I realized that in the endgame eighter you have to use rod builds or stamina based attack builds there are a few other exceptions like zelendes made lately which utilizes throwing bombs with immortality but those builds are rare xd

Ah when you said mandatory, I took it to mean killing trash or bosses was impossible without it or something. So you were thinking more from a farming efficiently standpoint, not viability.

I suppose it depends on what you want. The more powerful you get, the less you have to interact with the majority of the combat system, especially with endless rune attacks. Then it’s less about playing the game and more about min maxing gear for its own sake. Personally, I need breaks from the power, starting over from scratch to enjoy the challenge. I get a rush too seeing a min maxed build I labored over flourish, but that feeling is fleeting for me the more it obfuscates the game complexity.

yes sir

exactly thats why I always try to balance my damage and always try to make gameplay fun with rod or bcr builds cuz I dont like boing everything in the game very much like you said it makes less fun and make you rusty at those parries xd

I’m like you, i tend to avoid broken builds and instead try to get a build spicy, but i lose interest if it trivializes the game. I never use RoD, i tried it on one char and it was so broken i swore never to use it again lol.

To make rune intensive builds work this patch, i use:

  • a full set of mystic facet gear (thats almost 90% focus gain just with the gear), and use a jade ring to offset the stamina regen penalty
  • focus on inflicting status ailment on helm, focus on fatality on weapons
  • a band of calmness ring instead of RoD
  • a couple of focus regen gems on gear, because i think the value is better than - focus cost or + focus gain

This setup is good enough for you to be able to (very) regularly use rune attacks, but you will still have to attack a bit to charge your focus up. IMO its a good compromise between having a strong build, and not making the game boring by not having to interact with monsters at all.

Don’t you have serious problems with stamina regeneration? Is Jade Ring Enough?

Show your build here: Help for builds it might be what he’s looking for.

Stamina is good as long as you use multi-hit attacks: for my mage its the amberhusk auto attacks, or the runes that tend to do multiple hits. My archer is even better because autoattacks are 3 hits each, and most runes are 3 to five hits, so im pretty much always full stamina.

(sorry OP for piggybacking your thread !)
