I want to reinstall windows and I’m wondering how to backup my save since I already put a a lot of time, don’t want the progress to be wiped.
is the steam cloud enough for it? or should i do it manually and if I need to do it manually which folder do i need to backup
i know that the save file is located in (%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Moon Studios\NoRestForTheWicked\DataStore)
(I saw some post that doing it manually conflicts with the steam cloud sync and ends up getting wiped)
would appreciate your experience

Hey OffGrid,
Steam cloud should be sufficient, but you can easily try both methods!
All your save data is as you correctly stated, in your Datastore. It is encrypted to only work with your own Steam ID. So copying it and later pasting it back in your newly reinstalled windows version should work. If you want to keep your account settings as well, copy that too.
To be specific, copying your current build folder is enough, that is 29029

Thank you for the help, I guess I’ll go with the steam cloud first, if it didn’t suffice I’ll do it manually.
