Maybe have a specific type of chair in your house. Sit in it and spend resources like crucible green orbs for research papers? The price for research papers goes down depending on how many things you have in your house, then specific items like a stack of books or a bookshelf provide even more discount. Weekly max of papers you can get, just to supplement what you find out in the world. I can’t find the right look for my character until late game, having more papers early on would help a bit. Could make armor cost less papers too

I like the idea of obtaining research papers in different manners.
Maybe to keep it lore-friendly we could be rewarded with research papers for crafting things? As in the character is learning and contributing to their own research by practicing what they already know, so they “write” new research papers

We need more recipes for home furnishings. Books, scrolls, flower pots, chessboards, food replicas, cabinets with open shelves filled with dishes.

I feel like we need more recipies before we need more research papers. I wouldn’t mind if they change how we get the research papers, but I am happy with the current rate of acquiring them.
I rarely need to farm more, since you get them from basically everything. By the time I feel ready to craft new armor, I have enough papers to buy every type of armor in a given class. Once I spend all of my papers, I have a new reason to go out farming for more loot. I like having those reasons.
If getting papers was reduced to a passive ‘sit in a chair and afk’ it would be way less fun, since then I need to stop doing my regular grinding and just let my game run without me even playing it…
Spending something else to gain research papers would be cool though. Then I still have a reason to farm

By the way, I think we need more types of chests and cabinets: separate ones for sparks, separate ones for alchemy bottles, separate ones for food, separate ones for gems. That would be interesting.

Better chairs, potted plants, plates cups and bottles, other misc decorations . . . . This is very exciting!
I also spy a storage for embers among those unfinished assets. I can’t wait.
