I have been having issues with the fishing mini game. No matter how i try it the perfect is random. I have about 200 hours in the game and have tried countless ways to get the perfect with multiple characters, in multiple realms with no luck. I have gotten to the point were I can get perfect on chopping trees, mining ores, and digging holes about 99% of the time but for fishing I would say i get it 10% of the time.
My friend in the same realm have no issue with this and can get the perfect almost every time. I have tried verifying the game files and no help. I think the next thing I can do is uninstall and reinstall the game.
As someone who finds fishing very consistent, I wonder what the issue might be.
I don’t mean to condescend, but do you see the circular display near your character? I have read that some people expect it near the bobber, where it is not.
If it’s a matter of timing, perhaps you can habituate yourself to the timing by working backwards. If you take too long, the fishing spot is not consumed, so you can try repeatedly by erring on the side of being late to the button press.
Or do you get the timing right and the fish still isn’t caught perfectly?
Yes I did see the wheel pop up next to your character body. Those are some of the ways I tried. Instead of relying on the wheel I tried a few other indicators l, like watching the animation of the characters. I tried pulling when he does the big pull, also when he starts to reel in the line, after he start to reel in the line. I also tried timing, using a stop watch. I timed out how long it took to get a perfect after the wheel come up on screen.
I feel like my account may have some kind of issue because I have a few other issues at the same time. Those issue occur across multiple characters and realms.
I can, I have not recorded anything before so it probably wont be a great recording . I wont be able to record it until probably Tuesday, so ill replay when I get to record.
I have tried recording the issue and of course now it wont happen. I have noticed that last week the network issue symbols showed up a lot and now they are not showing up. So it may have been just network issues.
No worries, I’ll keep this post open and visible since I personally think as well the window for perfect fishing doesn’t align correctly with the wheel.
