The description says 10% chance to deal moderate fire damage around the enemy on damage dealt. This triggers on shove even though it does not do damage. Not sure if it matters, but I also had bubbling lava which increases the chance to trigger fire burst.
Hm shove is a bit of a special case of course. Maybe it does only 0.1 damage or something?

Yeah it does break pots. So maybe it is doing a little damage after all.
You can also break boxes and pots by rolling, which doesn’t do any damage, so I don’t think that’s it.
