First few words about review bombing on Steam. A lot of reviews about “game became to hard to play”.
I remember changes for POE 2 and saw the same reaction after the latest update. But Devs had the vision of the game and continued to move in own direction.
I don’t say that you shouldn’t listening us but don’t pay attention for that negative. We came here because of your vision of the game so continue to do what you do but paying attention on adequate feedback.

Magic weapon feel very punishing in close combat. Tried few weapon types and staffs feel cruel to any mistake.
Yes, skills (with proper gear) is powerful argue versus mobs. But before it most fights will end by your respawn or to long.
I suggest to add mid range base cast to staffs/wands. To balance it you can use different Focus generation. In melee range player will get normal Focus generation, while in some range - half reduced or something similar. -
For now player feels to weak vs most mobs until got proper gear. Yes, game is souls like but if new player can’t win even first fights he/she will left the game. Souls like games is a challenge but it must be a proper challenge to newbies.

Daily, week quests. For now player can take quests that will spawn mobs far greater lvl then player (scull icon) and mostly it will be impossible or almost impossible to finish it. It will be nice to adjust such quest availability accordingly player lvl (at least).
