when you are have a clift and on the other side there are enemies, the AI triggers before you do the jump. so while you are jumping they start attacking you, so when you land, you are dead/ pushed down, or stun.
As you can see, i dont play range or focus magic weapons which are broken and take away all the fun, but being melee on that situation sucks.
specially on Hardcore.
P.S: as you can see on the picture, the enemies are there waiting the moment I press jump.
Spoiler, I died.
From a fellow melee enjoyer: There’s a ramp on the far left of that room.
i know
not talking about crucible particulary ^^
but thaanks!
No worries, I didn’t mean to make assumptions. I’ll generalise – are there many ledges like this where you can’t take an alternate way to flank?
I sort of enjoy the idea that the enemies are waiting there, and could even imagine the human ones taunting me to jump. (They might even have that voiceline already.)
How would you redesign it? Make enemies active only after the jump? A smoke-bomb utility rune to momentarily break aggro? Some of these gaps can be blinked over, and since blink has no endlag it’s a decent solution. I’ve also used the stagger from bomb impacts to get through blobs.
Hey!!!
i am back! ^^
here there is another example!
I cant upload videos so I created a clip since with a picture its not enough.
It was Hardcore, and that fall is a deadly way to reset your char ^^
BTW, on that clift, My friend died there a few seconds later …![]()
I guess having tools as you said, like and smoke bomb, a distract tool to throw while you are climbing, or make the enemies do a powerful charged attack instead a normal but with a longer chanelling timing, so You could dodge if you are aware.
