I have around 50 hours of playtime and fooling around, and I’ve gained pretty good control of my own M+K setup and have become incredibly good and precise at dodge rolling. I’ve already finished the game on the easiest difficulty.
I started a new realm on normal difficulty, and it was very hard until I managed to defeat The Riven Twins. Well, after that the game became easy; maybe a bit too easy. I don’t know how it will be when I face the next boss, but the game feels pretty much frictionless (I’m level 14 while fighting enemies inside The Black Trench). I’m running around with explosive arrows and destroying everything I come across.
Maybe I’m getting ahead of myself, but we’ll see how it feels later in the game.
It’s exactly what you say, the game is not balanced correctly and sometimes depending on your luck and your build it becomes easier rather than more difficult, it’s a problem that concerns the builds, the rings and the levels, the RNG, and the lv UPs, also some weapons are clearly stronger than others, I find that after having put enough levels to stamina everything becomes easier, I sometimes found strong rings at the beginning of the game and they made the whole experience easier. When it happens only if I put the level points or I don’t power up the weapon even if I can.
Essentially if you are lucky and you are using a strong weapon, you find strong effects, strong rings and you find the right resources to power up the weapon and armor the game will be simpler instead of more difficult.

My experience in the game has followed the red line, but it should match the green line in terms of difficulty. This is only an estimate and not accurate, but you get the point. The difficulty level should always increase GRADUALLY — not increase steadily and then suddenly become difficult, then suddenly much easier than the previous areas; it should always be a steady increase in difficulty.
E.g: difficulty right now is all over the place.

I agree, but it’s a hard balance. I made a character on a torn realm and the early game felt too easy, but it stayed consistent. Versus on Unspoken it’s hard and stays hard (depending on build). The issue of Hard to easy to hard to easy honestly feels like that only on the medium difficulty.
Adding to this, there are obvious weapon, rune, and enchantment imbalances. I don’t anticipate any of this to change until we are closer to 1.0
