Could Bounty and Challenge rewards use an overhaul?

Bounties and Challenges usually give a handful of mediocre Gear rewards, sometimes also a few Gems and Embers.

With Crucible and general play, though, Gear is high in quantity and usually of comparable levels of quality to what we get from Bounties and Challenges. What I’m saying is that most of us have no shortage of gear, in fact I’ve got chests and chests full of gear.

I think Embers and Gems are good rewards, and those should stay, but maybe Bounties and Challenges should also hand out small stacks of rare Crafting materials as well, or more Gems and Embers. Rewards should be more of the stuff that’s hard to get; Gear is not hard to get.

Counter-point: Bounties and Challenges are one of the only sources of deterministic Gear farming that we have, everything else is random. There’s a case to be made for keeping the Gear rewards… …they just don’t feel very rewarding right now.

Gear isn’t rare; Gems, Embers, and crafting materials are rare. It makes sense to me that Bounty and Challenge rewards should use those gear slots for something that’s harder to get, if only to make Bounties and Challenges that much more compelling to complete.

I think that is a good idea it would be nice if there were more embers as rewards.

My main issue with the nounty and challenge systembat the moment is the varriet of bounties and challenges there are to complete. After doing them a few time it get kinda boring and onky if i see a reward i really want do i do that one. I would live to see variety increased significantly but that might also change with the faction system so hard to say.

Yeah, seconded. After going through the same Bounties and Challenges a half dozen times or so, they get a little rote. I still do them, because the Crucible and Pestilence aren’t much more exciting, but I would enjoy a lot more variety. I’m sure the expansion of the continent will bring new Bounties and Challenges, tho.
