Controller retatch does not work

Hi, when a controller dies or if you let the controller detach from computer and still in the game. When the controller retaches to my computer the game does not sense it and wont let me play on the controller.

I then have to restart the game for it to work

PS. I use Xbox controller via bluetooth

I have exactly the same problem, sometimes my cable makes my controller lose connection for a second but when I plug it back in, the game doesn’t seem to detect it, I have to close and reopen the game again (which it takes ages too btw)

I use a PS5 contoller connected via cable to my PC, and Steam Input is ENABLED.

There is a work around for now

steam - settings - controlls - time before controller shuts down and set it to never

this way it doesnt disconnect.

the problem still exists if the controller dies.

Thanks, unfortunately that doesn’t fixes the issue of reconnection, and I have to close the game and opening it again.
