Contextual actions should be minimized

Contextual actions should be minimized;

  • Jumping should be a separate button that can be used anywhere. Elden Ring’s button scheme (Hold B to run, Press B to roll, Press A to jump) should work fine here too.
  • We should be able to chop down trees by using our weapons to hit trees. There is no reason this should be a contextual action.
  • Anything else that can be accommodated for by existing gameplay mechanics. Contextual actions should only be used when absolutely necessary. (e.g. talking to NPCs) BotW/TotK does this right.

Contextual jumping really bothers me, traversal/exploration doesn’t feel good because of it.
