I know many computer gamers find key settings inconvenient.
Typical reasons are that the pairing button is inconvenient or key setting is impossible.
I also find it quite inconvenient to press the control key to use the shield.
Let’s talk about dodging and running settings.
I don’t know why they divided the keys into Shift and Space.
In many Souls games, this is designed to be a one-button operation.
I checked out how it works in this game, and I think it could be put together well.
Currently, the Shift key works when held down. You have to “press and hold” for it to work.
Meanwhile, the evasive action is performed by briefly pressing and releasing the arrow keys and the space bar together.
In other words, it has no function unless you press it briefly and then release it immediately.
Haven’t played souls but I like the shift key as a run button particularly with direction. I use mouse as direction and shift key to run because if I use WASD it is kind of hard for me adjusting my direction if it is diagonally.
The key point I want to make is why do you really need to use two keys? Two functions can be replaced with one key. What you said can also be implemented with one key.
I like all binds except parry, I understand why the developers put parry on the middle mouse button, because the right mouse button was needed for rune attack. But I think rune attack could be put on alt+left mouse button, and parry on the right mouse button, it would be perfect for me personally
