Any Idea when this will be fixed? I was planning on playing the entire weekend but am completely unable to.

As the title says, I cannot enter any realms, my own or friends. Am located in Denmark with friends from within the country having no issues.
Have tried everything from reinstalling the game, switching to legacy and back (could connect on legacy), tried a VPN, tried patching the local files, tried flushing DNS and resetting winsock, checked the game is allowed through my windows firewall/antivirus (dont have any other firewalls or antivirus programs), have restarted PC as well as fully turning it off and on again. In all instances of trying to enter a realm, I have given ample time (around 5-10min).
Have been told to include my player log and player prev logs after attempting to enter a realm of my own creation. These can be found here:

Wanted to include:
Whenever I go into the realm tab, exit out of it to main menu and go back in I’m stuck on “Preparing Realms* screen. I can exit out of it, but when I do im eternally in offline mode, with the reconnect button doing nothing. Only way to gain online status again is to reopen the game.

Same as the rest, stuck at Entering realm
Here is my info
I can’t load into multiplayer realms at all. I re-installed the client too. It get’s stuck in loading, but it doesn’t load at all.
My friends can enter the old realm without any issues. I’ve left the realm, gave admin to another player. They invited me back, still stuck in loading screen (there’s no progress at all). I made another multiplayer realm and have the same issue. So old and new realms are not working for me.
During the beta, I had no issues at all.
I’m playing on Linux via Steam. I changed the proton protocol, tried it with no vpn and vpn, changed also the internet provider etc. Nothing helps.
I have no issues playing solo realms (local).

I know its just unfortunate luck to be bunched into this issue, and this is game development, but like many others in this thread I was excited to play all weekend with my friends. Now they are playing on and I will have to play catch-up.
Will this forum post be tagged when the issue is located with an ETA? Or only when its fixed?

It seems I found kind of a workaround, but this is weird.
I’m able to connect to a private realm when i’m using Cloudflare Warp, don’t know why it’s working only with this.
I’ll try with a online realm soon.
How a private realm should need a vpn to work ?
don’t know if it will help to fix this issue, but for those who can’t play like me, try cloudflare warp and tell us if it’s also working

No, I am sorry, It is the weekend. I will set up an inquiry but I am sorry to say; temper your expectations you will be playing this weekend.

I am sorely sorry to hear that.
Nothing against you, but one would think a development team would work through the weekend on the release of their biggest update since early access release, especially with a bug present of this severity.

We see the problem and are investigating it so we can include a fix for hotfix 3.
One last thing I need from everyone is the region you are connecting from. If everyone can send that, that would be great!

I am from Denmark - Europe. Though I found a fix for myself. Connecting to a vpn in the US fixed it for me. Even if i turn off the vpn again, I can still connect just fine, so it seems to only be the first connection that is the issue, at least for me it was.
A friend of mine from Denmark, tried this with the VPN. After using the VPN in the US in the initial connection it fixed the bug and also even after disabling the VPN it still works just fine. He can even enter my Realm or his own Realm without problems.

For whatever reason, trying to connect with a VPN in specifically the US worked for me as well. Also am able to play now without a VPN active. Thanks for being specific on the US thing. For me it took nord VPN and an eastern connection point in the US to work.

I’m playing from the US. If I switch VPN locations enough(in either France, UK, Italy, or Germany), sometimes the game will load as an offline session (with the yellow text on the home menu indicating that it’s offline) and then I can play. I don’t think this is a region specific issue, maybe something in the protocol on how players connect to Moon’s servers through Steam? Hope you figure out what’s going on! Thanks again for such an awesome game.
