[Combined] Give us ability to move around Runes already installed

It’s very annoying when you have runes installed but realize that you would rather have them in a different order for better muscle memory activation. It would be great to be able to move them around without having to go crazy and pretty much having to redo the entire item, and getting the runes anew.

I Totally agree, especially considering that sometimes you want the original rune of the weapon in a different place, and if you want to move it you have to destroy it, find the same weapon to extract it and then put it in the right place and pretend to spend a lot of money from Eleonor just for a little QoL.

This feedback has been submitted several times, I hope they solve it.

Edit: While I was searching for an old topic of mine I found out that I had written the same thing but at the time no one paid attention to me :smiling_face_with_tear: (Rune Swapping should be possible and free within a Weapon!)

AGREED! Nothing worse in combat than being confused about which button to press.

It has probably been mentioned before…

But for example: maybe I want to move my front flip attack to my X button, maybe I want it to be triangle, or maybe square - but without destroying it and needing to get a new one.

Would be a nice quality of life

Problem: On the moment of current post we can’t change slot for rune. If we want so - it is mandatory to purchase/extract from other weapon same rune and put it into desired slot. E.g., I want “Jump Cut” rune being able to use by pressing “SPACE” (runeslot #4 at my case). So I have to find other Wooden Sword with such rune, extrat rune from found weapon, then place it into runeslot #4 in actual used Wooden Sword, instead of just being able swap runeslots on current weapon without timewaste need.

Suggestion: add availability to change rune slot via NPC/inventory menu without need to extract same rune from same weapon. It is very actual when playing on fists weapon because you actively use all 4 runes. Also it may be actual with other weapon which you actively using all rune slots.

I forget it it was confirmed or not but I’d love this feature in Wicked.

I don’t remember which topic i already answered abut that issue but i’ll write down again. +1 on the thing.

Allow to swap rune slots within the weapon so you can rearrange which rune goes in what slot instead of editing every time the keybind OR rebuild the whole runes from scratch with the hassle to find again the runes, removing the one in, and replacing them.. EVERY TIME.

Hi, thanks for the great game. And we are still at the beginning.

Current situation: Playing with xbox controller. Would like to change the order of some runes afterwards, so that I can have a rune on my prefered button. Especially for bows which have already 2 runes added.
Some customization for QoL would be nice.

I think there could be a special UI showing and binding the available skills.

Re-Order Draft

Had some ideas. Hope its ok for Moon Studios to post a draft here.

Basic idea for a re-order process:

  • go to Eleanor shop
  • talk to her and select “Rune”
  • Select button A (on my xbox-controller). Re-order process begins
  • First Rune is selected on button X. By pressing down I can swap runes.
  • Pressing A again, will confirm my change

Before re-order:

  • on X: Twirl Dash
  • on Y: Cold Enchantment

After re-order:

  • on X: Cold Enchantment
  • on Y: Twirl Dash

Bumping this. It’s still a thing I’d love to see added, and I’ve seen it in a few experimental feedback posts too. A friend also mentioned it to me

Also we need more description of runes. I have to equip them to find out if they use Stamina or Focus, how much they use, etc…

There will be a video preview in the inventory, we also have some screenshots, they just have to work on it, it will probably be added together with the bestiary.

It looks like the Runes might be even more difficult to move in the future.
