Challenge “contribute all” bugged

The NPC needed 5 weapon shards, I had 10. I clicked “contribute all”, and now I have 0.

Should work like Danos, where contribute all gives all he needs, not all you have

Hey balrog,

Have you been able to reproduce this?

Silas

No, I haven’t had the same quest yet

Update: I just did the Supply Run quest with Pine Planks.

I had 9 and only needed to give 4. I did “contribute all”, and now I have 0 pine planks :skull:

Interesting! You had these in your inventory or stashed away while contributing all?

Silas

I had them in my inventory

I had 15+ Weapon Shards. When contributing to a Challenge, I pressed the button to “Contribute all”, since it was asking for 6 Shards.

Unexpectedly, my Weapon Shards went to 0. It feels like the game took the whole stack instead of just what was needed for the challenge?

I reproduced the bug with a different challenge, this time giving the greedy Captain 5 pine planks instead of 4.

Steps to repro:

  1. Take a challenge with a contribution objective
  2. Have more items than necessary
  3. Press “Contribute all”
  4. See your stack of items disappear.

Screenshot below, I had 5 planks before Contributing all:

For me, the game displays ‘Owned: 0’ after contributing all, but the bounty does not consume the entire stack from the chest in my house. As balrogslayer writes, it consumes the entire stack from his inventory.

Might it be that the game displays the total number owned in chests and inventory before submitting, and just in the inventory after submitting; and that it uses up the inventory completely, but not the chests?

For me it used up all I had in inventory, which was way more than what it needed.

So while perhaps for you it was just a display bug, this is definitely more than just a display bug
