Can We Use All Those Sacra Dummies?

So there are these dummies and arena areas near the gate to Nameless pass. Right now it doesn’t serve any purpose but is it possible for us to really interact with those dummies? Give us the ability to hit it like another mob, gain and use our resources - just to try out new weapons before committing to hat weapon.

OR maybe even have that guy Luka as our sparring partner. I’ll take that even if you guys use it as a gold sink.

Other that that, you guys are really doing the hard work to make this game really good. Excited for the upcoming new job system and farming! this feedback would’ve been longer but all my other concerns for combat, gem socketing, shield runes have all been address and i’ve watched so many youtube vids on them already. Thank you and kudos to Thomas Mahler and the rest NRFW Devs!!!

A while back (months ago) Thomas had agreed to make them usable as a target dummy. Could be there were always intended to be that, but the content hasn’t gotten there yet.

He also mentioned a gladiator style arena for training and more fights if I recall correctly, so hopefully something akin to a sparing partner will come from that as well.

Possibly with the combat update or multiplayer when the adjacent pit could be usable or something along those lines, who knows. But it should be coming!

I agree that having a dummy is necessary for comfortable gameplay. It would make the game much more user-friendly. One of the most important parts of the game is combat, and the game features a lot of really cool, diverse weapons and upgrades for them.

Right now, the problem is being able to calmly analyze each of them. Here are some specifics:

  • The attack combo of some weapons works uniquely only when hitting enemies.
  • Testing runes requires concentration, but I don’t want to use food for that.
  • Each hit in a combo deals its own amount of damage (direct and stun), and it’s inconvenient to track this during combat—yet I’d like to work with the numbers.
  • Without a dummy, it’s hard to understand how different effects and runes work.

A dummy would save a lot of time on awkward weapon experiments and help players find the right weapon much faster, making the game more enjoyable.

Thank you very much to the dev team for the game and their efforts to make it better!
