The barrier is created when a gem Chipped Shield Emblem is applied to armor. The barrier does not reappear when leaving combat. To reappear, the item must be removed and re-equipped. Enchantments do not work
Gem:
in my build i am constantly swaping between 2 weapons for almost each mob kill (first weapon to freeze a mob, second physical weapon to break the freeze).
Problem is that all weapon attributes which gives you a buff for x seconds (after fatality, after rune attack,…) are immediately lost when the weapon is swapped.
So i am suggesting that buffs aquired from weapon attributes (e.g. movespeed for x seconds after rune attack, stamina cost reduction after fatality,…) persist for the buff duration even if you swap weapon.
It makes the game much more fun and allows for builds where you swapping weapons during the fight.
I have gain barrier on kill on my weapon and barrier on parry on my gloves. Whenever I create a barrier either way, switching weapon or offhand (shields in my case) makes it go away. Is this intended?
I wanted to make a new topic to give visibility on how this can be abused. I can reapply the barrier while in combat simply by switching weapon/off hand, creating an infinite barrier. In this video I have put a 10% gem in each armor piece, giving me 40 hp each swap.
