If I use a shield with the Item Durability Increased perk, its durability gets reduced automatically to 100 after I swap weapons or start climbing.
I think this perk should work more like item weight — not affected by such actions.
I have the exact same issue and have also made a post about it.
In my opinion it would be even better if durability increase enchantment didn’t exist at all, since even if it worked correctly it would be kind of a nothing burger…
Could it be that integrity-based enchantments benefit enchantments that rely on “the integrity of the item”?
It could be, but do the devs even want that? As in “based on durability” enchantments becoming all weird in how they’re calculated when you change said durability?
Might as well not bother with that whole headache and just remove an the “Increase durability” enchantment that nobody would have missed anyways.
Same here, when you switch your off-hand or unequip the shield the max durability get reduced back to 100. And when you equip it back it goes back to the increased maximum, making it so you have to repair it again. Not only that but when you enter a realm or make a new realm it also reduces the durability back to 100 and you have to repair it again, even if you have your shield equipped.
The “Item Durability Increased” enchantment only grants the extra durability until the relevant piece of equipment is swapped off of the character, upon which it resets to the original value. (in this case 100/174 ; the 74 extra coming from the enchantment).
After rigerous testing I can confirm that it applies to ANY EQUIPMENT (weapons and armor) and that it indeed negatively affects “based on durability” enchantments such as the one on the Boarskin Reaper (my beloved <3) in the picture.
Please, I beg you, make my beloved whole again ![]()
I have a wand with 100/100 durability and 84% increased durability. Also, when I reload the game, the durability on my pants is reduced from 174 to 100.
I was given reference to this forum post from discord and I just want to revisit in hopes the devs will catch wind of this.
It seems this has not been addressed or even discussed recently. My build relies on weapon swapping and increased durability to take advantage of the affixes related to durability increase.
Items with increased durability above their base value rest back to base values upon weapon swap. For example my weapon is now 100/200. This also affects my shield that is equipped.
This is still an issue and I hope this can be fixed for the Together update.
