Balance Focus impossible?

That’s what I ment with upgrading them, but it’s most likely the ones we’ve seen. Theres quite alot to be fair. It’s a small studio, but with years to come, sure. They did post they plan on focusing on the game for at least 10 years.

With the 1.0 update we’ll get at least a new area or two, maybe three to explore and more crusible content and they hinted that level 100 will be when we’re close to endgame

But I think the idea is to upgrade runes so I have my doubts and think there’s few new runes coming, it will be the same ones, but sure we might find them as already upgrade in mid and end game weapons.

Thomas Mahler has hinted to runes being added on shields. Like captain America shield throw. He’s talked about summons and adding new weapons and other off hands. So ya there would for sure be more runes 100%

Level 100 ?
I mean thats crazy with the current System.
Stamina by point 17-18 are 2 Points in the twenties 1,X.

Dark Souls has a bell curve with the Sweet Spot between 30-40 most of the time when in Wicked after 10 points you have 2 digits after zero.

The current Stats are more or less designed for 30 Level Endgame nothing more except Weapon Stat only.

Really? That sounds really cool. When exactly is this coming though, during part 2?

we already got more armors and more shields; i think by the end of the early acces there will be a lot more content. which means a lot more balancing hell :skull:

Well there is an interview where the devs talk about end game and the crusible and take a level 100 as an example where you can test your characters power or «finished» build. I think the game will focus mainly on damage stats then anything else to be able to equip weapons, I mean at level 21 you need 42 in some stats for some weapons so it seems logic that might be the case.

There’s a video on YouTube showing all 225 weapons they have created already there are two handed swords that require 152 strength and 104 faith. So I think it’s gonna get crazy

Here he follows me around and misses the point, again.

We’re talking runes.

What?! 266 in stats just to use a weapon, crazy! Guess it’s true then, hehe.

in general i do feel like focus runes are… risky to have in a game where in its current balance the most optimal way to play is charging and rotating between focus attacks;
i do feel like the current iteration feels much more problematic because of how powerful some of these attacks are compared to normale attack damage tho. so i would say that adjusting numbers for rune attacks and focus gain might be enough

Yes, that is the bigger issue.

To clarify:
I meant to remove Focus gain on damage dealt from items/passive effects and thus from rune Attacks.

Normal attacks. or potentially other Stamina spenders, could continue to build some Focus, based on the weapon properties. I like that, that can be an additional balancing factor, apart from damage, reach and animations.
