When I use the same rune with the same weapon which has %3 focus gain on hit back to back, only the first attack yealds focus. Other following attacks does not gain focus.
I’m not having that problem. Which rune attack are you using? You won’t see focus gain numbers. The only properly number displayed is the focus on focus use gem on the pants.
Also the attack has to hit the enemy.
Lightning assault. Plus, is the focus gain from the gem on the pants not effected by the focus gain buff? I have %94 focus gain but the gem on the pants yields the same amount of focus regardless of how much focus gain I have.
So the focus gain increase % is misleading. It ONLY applies to how much focus you gain when doing normal attacks.
The only thing that matters for focus gain when using rune attacks is:
The pants with the gem that gives: ‘5-15 focus on focus use’ (think it’s the topaz). That is a FLAT amount. So if you get a roll of 10 you will get 10 focus back every time you use a rune. So a rune that costs 50 will instead cost 40.
The other way to get focus back is the ‘gain x% focus on damage dealt’. This will give you the percent you have based on your TOTAL focus. So if you have 100 focus and you have a total of 5% focus on damage dealt you will get back 5 focus per HIT of the rune attack. Now some rune attacks hit 5 times. So you get 25 focus back, plus the 10 focus from the gem on your pants.
Now, if you have 200 total focus and 5% focus on damage dealt you are now getting 10 focus per hit. So if you hit 5 times you get 50 focus back (plus the 10 from the gem on the pants) for a total of 60. Now if your rune attack only costs 50 you’re suddenly gaining more focus back then you are spending!
The focus on damage dealt can come from the topaz gem on a weapon or torch or bow. Also can come from an affix on the same items.
