Attribute Points

New players don’t know what attributes go with what weapon types. This makes it hard to plan what kind of weapons you want to use until you’ve already spent points and have some decent play time logged. Maybe a note or a quick guide in attribute section that would detail what weapons types use what attributes. This would prevent a player increasing an attribute only to realize that the weapon type they want to use doesn’t scale with that attribute.

Oh my god, you opened pandoras box again. :scream_cat:

Dont forget you hazard suit

But the weapon descriptions literally show attribute icons with requirements…

However, despite knowing if you have to level up a certain attribute, I suppose the attributes could be signalled better, even when the requirements are met?

What I mean is that as a “brand new” player, you make a decision when you receive your first couple sets of attribute points.

You start the game and find a few weapons. So for example: you increase your strength because you find a primary you’d like to use that requires strength, then you decide you would like to use daggers and a mace as your go to: which have nothing to do with strength so you’re like aww man I wish I would have known. But you would only know this as your accrue play time. So if there was a quick log of what weapon types use what attributes that would help new players know that they need dexterity or dexterity and faith before they spend points if they want to main daggers or a mace.

Knowing ahead of time, which is no real spoiler will avoid that player from increasing strength if they know they’re going for a dual dagger build or something for example. You could look at the log and go yea i’d like to use a one handed sword so I should save my points for XXX attributes, OR I want to use heavy weapons so I should save my points for XXX or I wanna use a mace so save my points for XXX or a staff for XXX attributes.

Right now the only way to tell is to play. But you could plan ahead with a simple log of what weapon types use what attributes
