Fear not impatient Cerim just start any build projects you want and can afford and simply just quit to desktop and go to your windows time and date settings adjust them manually like 4 hours or even a day to reset daily challenges and log in back to game. Voila your building projects are done in a few minutes saving you time of waiting, cheers!

… I feel like I flunked my abc’s test.
For me it’s not a big problem for the people used to have this timer mechanic. In every builder’s city game you have this kind of thing : Anno serie, Sim’ City Builder, and Frostpunk. I remember in Starcraft I & II and Warcraft III, the equipment and skill updates had a big delay to achieve.
It’s just, this game merges several genre, and a lot of people aren’t used to wait. In a Hack&Slash or From Software game it’s bizarre to wait for something.
But I like this delay, it adds some realism, immersion…

100% you right! For exemple i really don’t understand people who use same tricks with time or etc. 
And here I was setting some build projects to start before my work day so they’d be done by the evening…
I do still hope they tune it down ever so slightly, even with this method being available.
I agree also if the devs make the building projects take longer and requires more resources I am down for it. For example the tailor shop requiring you to get leathers etc and not just wood, ore and clay, because upgrading and rebuilding sacra kinda looks too easy and fast.
