Common aiming problems:
In the Crucible, where destructible objects are present, when attempting to move your crosshair from one enemy to another, you may accidentally select an object instead of an enemy.
If you’ve locked onto a target and are running away from it, but new, closer targets approach you, the aim won’t automatically switch without moving the stick. This isn’t usually a problem, but when you’re surrounded by a group of four monsters, you’d like your crosshair to automatically lock on to the closest target, like in some ARPGs. This isn’t a problem with melee weapons, as they’ll hit at close range, but it’s a challenge with ranged weapons.
Aiming with a bow:
While holding the attack button and moving your character, the aiming reticle jumps between different targets. However, there’s a catch: it’s physically difficult to simultaneously hold the attack button and move the aiming stick.
Moreover, at maximum firing range, the aim may shift, and the shot will not inflict damage. This happens even if the character and the enemy are stationary. If you aim at the same enemy again, and the aim doesn’t shift, damage will be dealt.
Despite all this, a shot at the ground near the target will inflict damage if the distance is short.
