Add some number of refillable health potions (Estus analog from Dark Souls)

As for now, it’s very frustrating to fight tough boss when your health potions are ending after few tries.

Bloodborne also had health potions that are not restoring after resting near bonfire, but, hopefully From Software realized that this is a very bad mechanic, that makes only worse.

It would be nice to have some number of restorable health potions (5-10), that you can collect throughout your journey

In critical situations and during level walkthrough we can use food as healing, but for bosses restoring potions are crucial.

Nope, i dont like that, would defeat the purpose of you making your own healing itens, food could be better, healing over time and giving buffs, but adding estus flasks would make the whispers respawn enemies also, if not clearing an area would be trivial.

I think they could add potions, but imo they should be made, using farmable itens, roots and whatnot, have a cooldown too, that way the game design is kept, no one needs another fromsoft carbon copy, and i like those games btw, got them all aside from bloodborne since i own a PC and the bastards at sony wont port the masterpiece.

this isn’t a soulslike clone, it’s 30% a survival game, everything you obtain you forage for

I dont know, survival game, for me at least, says hunger, thirst and maybe some enviromental hazard or two.

well, resident evil is a survival horror game, and only the zombies have hunger

i think what was meant here is more like “survive with limited resources”.

survival-craft sure but when the entire game hinges on resources you have to personally obtain via actual foraging, it at least gains survival DNA. This game’s survival formula is almost 1-1 to BOTW’s and I would consider that game a partial survival-like. Everything you earn you must forage and you can craft different things with what you forage which is what fundamentally separates it from the Bloodborne example @Andrii tried to make. In BB & DS you fight to get more consumables and they’re all the same healing item; here you forage/craft/buy to get ingredients which make a broad range of buffs & heals to me that’s very different

Well you can ignore foraging and just go for the chests, enemy drops, sell all the stuff you find, those siren skulls goes for a lot of money, and you will have enough for food and upgrades, without needing to get a single mushroom, at the start its gonna be tough though.
