having come playing like Remnant: From the Ashes and Remnant 2, i think a neutral dodge (no directional input dodge) that has less i-frames but will have a unique counter attack animation if followed up from would fit a lot to allow more aggression, and perhaps make fights flow better as a result.
The attack range from enemies is alot bigger than in remnant, most of the time combined with a forward move. Normally the Light roll must be the better roll for faster Counter Attack. But the difference between light and normal roll seems very very small. I Framaes maybe better but i see no better Counter Attack time. Not for the Opportunity Cost of wearing non Plate.
Could use the neutral dodge multiple times to dodge multi-hits, something Remnant has also solved by allowing their neutral dodge to have the fastest recovery, letting you use it often at pace wih enemy multi-hits. So a solution is not that hard to think of.
