No fast travel and the falling damage are the worst design in the game.
the game use healing item like Bloodborne and it’s souls-like.
in Bloodborne you can fast travel anywhere you visited so you can farm the healing potion.
But in this game
- in Cerim Crucible there no healing method, you have to farm for healing before do it.
- in plague area like if the pestilence happened at the beach map, the best healing you can get only do 130 HP, very stupid.
- on the way doing the main quest, once you failed challenging the boss, you will have to run all your way back to farming healing items and run all your way back to the boss.
Does the time wasting make sense? You think that’s good experience?
No, the game now showing not even common sense in this point.
And for the falling damage part.
it’s too bad you will kill yourself anywhere by you can’t see, it’s not a first person or third person game, player will be falling easily. stop instantly kill player when fall into abyss. make them lose certain percentage of HP and bring them back to where they fall.
those successful game don’t do what you do in Wicked for a reason.
Because your game is punishing player with the game’s problem from itself.
Those are making people doubt the team don’t have a basic game knowledge or understanding.
